Community Living

The CRI Community Living Arrangement (CLA) Program provides twenty-four hour supports to adults living in licensed group homes located across all three DDS regions.  The individuals living in these homes have need for significant support in all skill areas.  The CLA programs provide habilitative, social and recreational choices that enable the individual to develop increased levels of independence and personal success.  Every home offers a safe, comfortable home environment with its own unique décor.  Each home has between 4 and 6 individuals residing in it.  Most have private bedrooms.  Highly trained support staff is available on all shifts to assist individuals in all activities of daily living.  Every home has an activity schedule developed with individual choices and preferences in mind.  Homes provide individualized program plans, leisure and community integration opportunities that are meaningful to the individuals.

The CLAs are licensed by DDS and are monitored on a regular basis for compliance to regulations and quality of services.  All support plans in the CLA program are developed through the IDT person centered planning process and are funded by both DSS and DDS.  CRI ensures individuals residing in the CLA programs are active members of their home and community.

Each CRI Community Living Arrangement Offers

  • Individualized Program Supports
  • Support and learning in activities of daily living
  • Behavior Specialist Support
  • Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapy supports
  • Nursing Care Coordination with community medical providers
  • Accessible environments based on need
  • Adaptive equipment based on assessed need

Funding for Community Living Arrangements is provided through the Department of Developmental Services Planning and Resource Allocation Team.  Individuals must be enrolled in the Comprehensive Waiver Program to receive residential services.
